Official 25toFly BFM Contest

Bloggers for Movember 2013 has been flying by, and with a little less than two weeks left of Movember, we still have surprises in store. This week especially. I’m not one to let all of the cats out of the bag at once, unless they are going into my house for cuddles, but today I am announcing one more contest held by the long john queen herself.

I’m so honored to host the 2013 BFM movement, so naturally I am stoked to offer up some goodies to the supporters.

The Scoop:

BFM reaches people. Great people. One of them is Mr. Timothy Sanders. Tim is a graphic designer, and one of the first people to contact me about our Movember efforts. He generously offered to donate one of his prints, Mustache Styles (pictured below), to give away to one lucky BFM team member. Not only that, but he also created a special promo code for Movember supporters to use at his Etsy shop.

I am always so impressed by graphic designers, hell, artists of any kind, and Tim is an entrepreneur in the beginning stages of growing his Etsy page (three cheers for Etsy peeps!). He is yet another individual venturing out to do what he loves and supporting great causes while he is at it.

His work caught my eye immediately… for obvious reasons.

Tim recently opened his shop, Charley Chartwell. The shop is starting small with two chart posters, but he is busy at work on more pieces. Tim jumped into this venture with great help from his wife (chief collaborator), his little girl (chief inspiration), and his dog Blue (moral support).

I enjoy making each design as much as I look forward to the end product. Each project begins with an idea, usually at the kitchen table: “would moustache styles make a good chart?”. This turns into pencil sketches: “how can I show this in an artful way?”, and if that goes well, the research comes next: “how many moustache styles are out there?”, and then it’s time to dive into the design: “Okay, sleeves are rolled up, Pantone book is open, let’s do this.”

How to Win:

Every member who donates to the official BFM team page will be entered into a drawing to win one of Tim’s original Mustache Styles prints. The winner will be announced here on 25toFly and on a special VLOG in the beginning of December, which will mark the anniversary of my first ever vlog attempt that eventually lead to the birth of BeccaTube. I don’t think I need to tell you how thrilled I am.

If you are dying to get your hands on a print but are worried that the luck of the draw won’t be in your favor, we still have you covered. Tim also created a special promo code for $5 off of Mustache Styles to use until the end November. Simply use the code MOVEMBER when checking out.

And finally, if you can’t afford to do either, at least go like the Charley Chartwell Facebook page. OR give/receive a mustache ride tonight. Everyone wins!

More surprises on Thursday! Mo on!

  1. That’s a great print. Love it. I need to get on the team!

    • Amy! Yes, you do! It’s really easy, and you can donate whatever amount you want. $1 or $100, it all counts the same. Plus, whoever wins will be announced in my first vlog in months… you know you want it to be you ;). I wish I could give a prize to everyone who participates, but this will have to suffice. Thanks for dropping in!

  2. Love that print! What a cool giveaway item.

  3. Reblogged this on You've Been Hooked! and commented:
Shake those Monday doldrums and Rob Ford blues by supporting a cause near and dear to my heart, folks. (Actually, the cause is much lower, but you get the point.) Mo on and give Becca your full support, boys and girls. Have a happy Monday, guys!

  4. i prefer “moustache” with the “o” instead of without. it’s got a classic feel to it. like a turn-of-the-century thing. not this turn, 2000, but the previous turn. like an “old time” feel. walt disney had a “moustache,” no mouse pun intended. clarke gable had a moustache. 70’s porno stars had a “mustache.” burt reynolds had a “mustache.” teddy roosevelt had a moustache. so did his wife.
